Why it gets these verdicts

Specialized is one of two sellers we found that write NSW's planned change into a product page (Ride Electric's Fatfish listing is the other): 'EN15194 compliant (250W Cont, 25 km/h) as required on NSW roads and road related areas from March 2029'. That's the right reading of the NSW plan, and it means the Como will still be legal in NSW after the 500 W class ends.

The motor line elsewhere on the page reads '28mph', the hardware's limit in the US. Specialized notes the supported speed varies by region; the Australian figure is 25 km/h.

Who it suits

The Como is a comfort cruiser with a premium mid-drive: upright, step-through, with a big battery. At $5,900 it's the dearest non-cargo bike we list, and the case for it is quality and dealer support rather than features.

Specialized doesn't print a maximum load or rider heights on the page, so check both with the shop.
