Terms of use

Updated

Our verdicts read published rules; they aren’t legal advice, and police and courts decide individual cases. The rest of the terms follow.

Using this site

These terms apply to ebikelegal.com.au. By using Ebike Legal you agree to them. They were last changed on 5 October 2026.

Ebike Legal is free to use. You don't need an account, and you may use the calculators and guides for your own personal or business decisions.

What the information is, and isn't

Ebike Legal explains prices, rules and products using figures taken from public sources, each linked beside the figure with the date we checked it. It is general information only: it doesn't take your own circumstances into account, and it is not professional advice.

Prices and rules change. Before you buy, sign up or rely on a figure, confirm it with the provider or the official source, which is the final word.

Accuracy and corrections

We work hard to keep every figure right and dated, but we can't promise the site is complete, current or free of errors at every moment.

If you find a mistake, tell us at hello@ebikelegal.com.au; the About page explains how corrections work.

Links to other sites

Links to providers and sources take you to sites we don't control. Their terms and privacy policies apply there, and anything you buy is between you and the provider.

Some links may earn us a commission, which is disclosed beside the link and explained on the How we rank and make money page. It never changes what we recommend.

Our content and others' brands

The text, calculators and illustrations on Ebike Legal are ours unless a credit says otherwise; photographs are credited on the About page. You may quote or link to a page with a credit and a link back; please don't copy pages or data in bulk.

Brand names and trade marks belong to their owners. Naming a company doesn't mean it endorses us or that we endorse it.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or your reliance on it. Nothing in these terms excludes any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't lawfully be excluded.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date above changes when we do, and the version on this page is the one that applies. They are governed by the law of Australia. Questions go to hello@ebikelegal.com.au.
